The DGAW-congress on “waste and resource management” has been initiated by the DGAW (German Society for Waste Management) to serve young scientists, business representatives and professors as a platform for exchange and discussion each year.
This year, participants of the 4th DGAW-congress met on the 27th and 28th of March 2014 at the University of Applied Sciences Münster. They discussed a wide range of topics concerning the waste management and environmental service sector. The Jury awarded Sebastian Kaulfeld with first place in the category “poster”. Mr. Kaufeld is a research assistant at the Department of Processing and Recycling and examines the influence of process parameters on the separation of substance mixtures. He was honored for his poster presentation about a test rig designed for the detection of the residence time behavior of individual grain factions during classification.
